Kaitlyn MacDonald developed a passion for humanitarian work at a young age. From organizing a fundraiser supporting communities in Ethiopia at only 10 years old, to working on a house building initiative in Tonga at age 16, her desire to be involved in creating meaningful and lasting change has always persisted.
Ultimately this passion lead her to pursue a degree in Medical Anthropology and Global Health at the University of Washington.

         Through her studies and experiences working in the APRU Undergraduate Leaders' Program, she came to believe that meaningful impact begins with listening. Rather than assuming what communities need, she believes the most effective solutions come from learning directly from the people being served and working alongside them to support their goals.

         As Global Outreach & Partnerships Director, Kaitlyn focuses on developing partnerships, expanding outreach initiatives, and creating opportunities that strengthen The Murph Foundation's impact and global network. Inspired by her own experiences and the example set by her grandfather, Allan Cahoon, she hopes to spend her life learning from others, building meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities for positive change. She is especially drawn to TMF's commitment to both action and storytelling, having long recognized the power stories have to connect people and inspire meaningful impact.
