TMF is a travel-based nonprofit that funds and documents real-world impact projects around the globe — working alongside local communities and organizations, and bringing people together to experience the impact in person and through media.
Who We Are
The Murph Foundation started in 2024 with a simple idea: if we have the ability to go out into the world, tell stories, and bring people together, we should use that to make a real difference.

We are a community of globally minded people who believe that showing up matters. Not just with money, but with presence and purpose.
How we work
Everything we do starts with a local partner. We don't parachute in with our own agenda, we find organizations and communities already doing the work on the ground and we support what they're building.

From there it's three things:

Fund — We direct community support into projects that address real needs and create lasting change.

Show Up — We travel to the project, work alongside the community, and bring people together to experience the impact firsthand.

Tell the Story — We document everything. Every project gets a full media package — film, photography, and content — so our partners can share their story further, reach more people, and extend the life of their work long after we leave.
Why storytelling
We believe the media can do more than raise awareness. It builds connection, inspires action, and keeps a project alive in the world long after the work is done. It also brings donors and supporters closer than ever before, giving them a firsthand look at exactly where their support goes and the real people behind it.
Every community we work with deserves to have their story told well. That's not an afterthought for us, it's core to everything we do.
