Project 5 - Namibia
Sandwich Tours is a powerful example of what it means to travel with purpose.
Built around the same core belief that drives The Murph Foundation, they transform travel into direct, meaningful impact. Instead of observing communities from afar, they bring travelers straight into the heart of the DRC community — one of the most underserved areas in Namibia, where many families live without access to running water or electricity.

What makes their model truly unique is how impact is built into the experience itself. Rather than paying for a traditional tour, participants “pay” with a donation of real food that goes directly into the hands of children who need it most. Every visit becomes an act of service, rooted in connection, dignity, and compassion.
As a growing humanitarian travel experience, Sandwich Tours is redefining what tourism can be — creating lasting change for communities while leaving travelers with something far more meaningful than memories.
This project came together in less than a day. Without the usual weeks of planning, we moved fast and did everything we could with the time we had.

We partnered with the founders of Sandwich Tours and went straight to a local grocery store, carefully selecting supplies based on the community’s real needs. By working together, we filled three carts with food — enough to provide meals for the kids in the community for weeks.

Once we arrived, we made over 300 sandwiches and served a hearty meal to more than 200 children. For many of them, it was the main meal of their day, as their parents were working and many of the kids aren’t in school because their families can’t afford it.

We also launched a fundraiser to continue supporting daily lunches, helping ensure these kids receive the meals they deserve long after this visit.
