Our Projects

Project 4 - South Africa

Action Change is an inspiring organization dedicated to empowering local leaders and communities to create lasting, self-sustaining change. By working directly with people on the ground, they ensure every project is driven by local voices and built to continue thriving long after the work is done. Their approach focuses on giving communities the tools, skills, and support they need to take ownership of their own futures.

Across the globe, Action Change tackles major social and environmental challenges through sustainable, community-led initiatives. In South Africa’s Cape region, their work has been nothing short of transformative—often serving as the sole source of support in communities that have been overlooked and forgotten. Through education, empowerment, and hands-on development, they continue to restore hope and opportunity in some of the country’s most disadvantaged areas.

We’re proud to stand alongside Action Change and support their mission to turn local action into global impact.

Through The Murph Foundation, we traveled to Cape Town to work within some of South Africa’s most disadvantaged and often forgotten townships.

In the off-grid Rasta Camp of Ocean View, home to over 400 people living without running water, electricity, or plumbing, we built six eco-friendly composting toilets to restore dignity, improve health, and create a sustainable sanitation solution.

The compost produced can be used to support local farms or sold within the community—turning waste into opportunity.

We also visited Siyakhula Daycare in the Bhongolethu Township, where we built a new classroom from scratch and reinforced a secure storage room after repeated break-ins. These improvements created a safer, more nurturing space for the children to learn and play
