Our Projects
Project 2 - Xieng Khouang, Laos
UXO Clearance Solutions (UCS) is dedicated to making the country of Lao safer by clearing unexploded ordnance (UXO), especially in schools and village gardens. With a flawless safety record, they train and employ local villagers, creating lasting impact beyond clearance efforts. Their expertise in UXO and minefield removal ensures efficient clearance across Laos.
Additionally, through their Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) programs, they empower communities and students with the knowledge to stay safe from UXO for generations to come. UCS collaborates with local and international partners to expand its reach, combining cutting-edge technology with traditional expertise to maximize efficiency. By prioritizing sustainability and community involvement, UCS not only removes deadly remnants of war but also paves the way for safer, more prosperous futures in Lao villages.
UXO Clearance Solutions What we Did
Through The Murph Foundation, we traveled to Xiangkhouang Province, one of the most heavily bombed regions in the world, to work alongside Aaron and UXO Clearance Solutions in addressing the ongoing danger of unexploded ordnance (UXO). Thanks to the T.M.F. community, we were able to fund a mission into remote villages with little outside aid. There, we identified UXO reported by locals and conducted reconnaissance for any additional bombs that had not yet been discovered. Once all UXO in the community was identified, we carried out four controlled detonations to safely eliminate these threats once and for all. Through UCS, we also visited multiple schools to educate hundreds of children on UXO safety—knowledge that could save lives for generations.
